|New Solutions Center Features Innovative Water Reclamation System Designed to Conserve 75,000 Gallons of Water Annually|
|IRVING, Calif. – Bosch Thermotechnology North America, a leading provider of high quality water heating and comfort heating/cooling systems for homes and businesses, today announced the opening of its newest Bosch Solutions Center for education and training of HVAC professionals in the latest sustainable technology advancements from the company. The 3,000-square-foot facility offers hands-on application training on Bosch geothermal heat pumps, tankless water heaters, solar thermal water heaters and Buderus boilers. |
“Technologies like geothermal and solar thermal are an essential component for sustainably addressing future residential and commercial energy needs. It is critical that today’s HVAC professionals learn first-hand how to utilize them,” said Ervin Cash, President and CEO, Bosch Thermotechnology N.A. “Not only will these professionals install the components, but they’ll often be the first line in consumer education. Our Solutions Centers are dedicated to providing the necessary practical and technical information to help the trade effectively drive the consumer adoption process.”
Sustainability is present throughout the facility. To comply with California’s strict water conservation codes, the center features a water reclamation system that will save up to 75,000 gallons of potable water per year.
“In southern California where water conservation is critical, this is a huge accomplishment,” said Taylor Shaw, California Solutions Center Manager and Western Regional Sales Manager for Bosch and Buderus. “This closed-loop reclamation system includes a large storage unit, high-head pump and evaporative rooftop chillers that regulate temperatures for the center’s five tankless demo units used for training.”
Other features of the center include an 850-square-foot education classroom, a 1200-square-foot solar thermal installation education center and a 952-square-foot tankless water heater training and demonstration center.
The Irvine, Calif. location joins two other Bosch Solutions Centers operating in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Londonderry, NH – home to Bosch North America.
