- Second consecutive year Bosch has received the honor

- Bosch is committed to continuous improvement of products and services, while developing trusting, quality partnerships

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Dedicated to quality and innovation, for the second year in a row the Starter Motors and Generators division of Robert Bosch LLC has earned recognition as a Partner-level Supplier in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. The Partner-level status is Deere & Company’s highest supplier rating. Bosch, based in Stuttgart, Germany, was selected for the honor for both 2012 and 2013, recognized for its dedication to providing products and services of outstanding quality as well as its commitment to continuous improvement. Sam Messina, director of Commercial Vehicle Business for Starter Motors and Generators North America, Robert Bosch LLC, accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies held on Feb. 18 in Davenport, Iowa.

Bosch is a supplier of starter motors and alternators to John Deere’s operations in Waterloo, Iowa; Torreon, Mexico; and Orleans, France.

“For Bosch, developing, maintaining and continuing to improve relationships is a crucial part of what we do,” Messina said. “We have a strong history of working together with the companies we supply to provide solutions that are Invented for life. Receiving this honor two years in a row is an important accomplishment, and we look forward to continuing our strong relationship with John Deere.”

Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence Program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.
